As one of the key events for the preparation of the 2008 Olympic Games, the International Sports Facilities Expo – China 2005 is coming to the front stage in November in Beijing after months of preparation.
Being the first ever sports facilities expo in China organized by the Olympic and National Training Facilities Construction and Management Authority and the Sports Facilities Construction and Standards Authority of the State General Administration of Sports of People’s Republic of China (SGAS), the expo has attracted participation of key market players Chinese and International. Dow Corning, Siemens, Panasonic, Philips, Hunter Douglas Group, Zhejiang Dafeng Group, BlueScope Steel, HI-IN Aquapure, Ten Cate Thiolon, Sinocome, Cimco, Saint-Gobain, EMMA, Carrier, Losberger and many more are coming to the show and put their latest products and new technology on display.
By participating in the expo, exhibitors aim at gaining better understanding and recognition from experts and designers alike on their products, company brand and culture, through which they can have more opportunities to reach the tangible markets generated along with the Olympic Games.
A highlight of the ISFE – China 2005 is the National Achievements Area – an exhibition organized by the State General Administration of Sports, which will put on display current and future sports facility construction projects in China. This unique exhibit will also showcase some of the results of the Fifth National Survey on Sports Facilities in China, giving all visitors and exhibitors to the expo a deeper understanding of the market and of future trends in the run-up to the 2008 Olympic Games.
In the meantime, conference, seminar and summit meetings are also being held during the expo, which include:
- China Sports Science Institute Architectural Committee Annual Meeting ; which brings together the most prominent sports architects in China to discuss new trends and developments in the sports facilities construction industry each year;
- China Sports Facilities Construction and Management Summit ; topics include innovative concepts, technology and equipment in sports facilities construction, international models and experiences, and Chinese government policies such as national sports facilities standards, industry developments and trends;
- Venue Management and Security High-Level Forum ; topics include sports facilities management concepts, equipment maintenance and energy saving, safe operation of sports venues, application of IT systems.;
- Educational Institutions Sports Facilities Development and Standardization Conference ; standardization and implementation, environmental principles, safety requirements for sports facilities in educational institutions;
- New Products and Services Promotional Meetings ; product launches and presentations made by key domestic and international companies to promote their newest technology and innovative services to the market.
The State General Administration of Sports of P.R. China believes the expo will play a positive role in promoting the development and standardization of the sports facilities construction industry, as well as provide a platform for communication and exchanges for sports bureaus, venue investors, stadium owners, sports architects and related product providers.
