The Federal Government is backing a business that is planning to sell the secrets of Australia's success in hosting and competing in international sporting events. Grab(s) of Jim Sloman, former deputy CEO of SOCOG, who says Australia has a "unique" set of skills; Federal MP Pat Farmer, who says such expertise is in demand overseas; Shane Mattiske, National Rugby League, who says Australians have often looked overseas for professional development; Leighton Wood, Sport Knowledge Australia, who says the AFL's talent identification system is an example of best practice; Brian Bagshaw, Sydney Olympic Park, who says Sport Knowledge Australia is well-placed to take advantage of growth.
