ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR BRAHAM DABSCHECK
M Ec (Monash)
School of Organisation and Management, University of New South Wales

Professor Dabscheck’s research interests include industrial relations in professional teamsports. He has published more than 50 papers on various aspects of professional teamsports. He has also been an expert witness in a number of cases involving challenges tocontrols on the employment of players and has been employed as a consultant to the International Federation of Professional Footballers' Associations.



SENIOR LECTURER MR ANTOINE HERMENS

School of Management, University of Technology, Sydney

Antoine is the Executive MBA Director at the University of Technology Sydney. Antoine draws on 16 years of commercial experience and advises national and international clients
on Strategy and Alliance Management. Antoine is in great demand both locally and
overseas. His teaching areas include corporate and international strategy, business
simulations and entrepreneurship.



PROFESSOR DAVID SHILBURY
BAppSc (Rec.), MSc. (Sport Management) PhD
Head of Bowater School and the Foundation Chair of Sport Management at Deakin University

Professor Shilbury has written on sport management and marketing and examined the professionalisation of sport and changing governance systems. David was the Foundation President of the Sport Management Association of Australia & New Zealand, a member of the AFL Tribunal and is a Board Member of the Confederation of Australian Sport. Professor Shilbury is the winner of numerous teaching excellence awards.



ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR TRACEY TAYLOR

Head of the Graduate School of Business, University of Technology, Sydney

Tracy is a highly regarded management consultant and trainer, and regularly presents
courses in the areas of management skills, leadership skills, team building and
succession management. Tracy is on the Editorial Board of Sport Management Review and European Sport Management Quarterly.



ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR BOB STEWART
B.Ec., MBA, MA, PhD
Division of Sport Management & Policy in the School of Human Movement, Recreation & Policy, Victoria University

Associate Professor Stewart has special interest in: change management in sport organisations; culture management; sport stadia design and management; and sport and multimedia. He teaches Sport Finance, Sport Evaluation, Sport Policy and Planning, Sport Management and Sport Media. Bob’s research interests include organisational culture and change in sport, sport policy and the commercial development of sport.



INDUSTRY GUEST PRESENTER MR MALCOLM SPEED
CEO of The International Cricket Council

Malcolm Speed has been CEO of the International Cricket Council since 2001 having previously held the same position with the Australian Cricket Board (now Cricket Australia) since 1997. He was Chairman of Basketball Australia during basketball’s halcyon 1980’s period. With a long background as a barrister in Australia, he is accustomed to the cut and thrust that is now part of cricket administration.

Andrew left a successful corporate career to manage the Australian Football League (AFL) Players Association through a ground-breaking industrial relations agreement before becoming Chief Operating Officer and later Chief Executive of the AFL, the leading Australian sporting organisation.
